i have never really batted an eyelid towards daniel craig’s filmography, but this has definitely put him on the maps for me- such an unexpected, magnetic performance i couldn’t initially imagine him. i didnt think i would enjoy a burroughs adaptation more than cronenbergs naked lunch, but this thoroughly exceeded my expectations. such a beautiful mess of loneliness, addiction, disjointed surrealism and all- consuming love. how much can you give before you give up?
