Nosferatu

It’s incredible to me that no one ever replicates the shot of Orlok rising from the coffin the way he does. I like to think that’s an iconic shot (I’ve certainly seen it in memes) but maybe I have a lot of bias. I don’t even think Eggers did it, maybe because he thought it would cheapen the scare and creep factor of his version of the vampire. Maybe it’s still too early in the day for me and I haven’t revived enough to think of if I’ve actually seen it elsewhere. Whatever the case, still a great movie.
