I honestly have no idea how to review this. Its not at all what I expected. I knew very little going in, while being a fan of the first two. This movie is so different then I ever could have imagined. There's some Danny Boyles similarities to the original but you can also see how much he's improved since the original. He is a phenomenal director and it shows in this movie.
No spoilers here but shoutout to some great performances from Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, and Alfie Williams.
The best things about this movie is the world building, and the different ideas, concepts and lore it brings into the franchise. It keeps you invested, and wondering what could be popping up next.
This movie also has a ton of heart, and emontion. It makes you really feel for the characters and there journey.
The negative would be its just not as scary as I was hoping. The original has some really terrifying scenes, but this movie doesnt quite live up to that. Its not as bone chilling, but still such a fun anxious filled adventure.
In the end, go out and treat yourself a very different look at a zombie movie. You will amazed and shocked throughout.
