This movie does a great job of taking you through the matchmaking/swiping dating world. Shows how people are so wrapped up in boxes they need to check in order to find the one. It follows alot of the high class, and how much your getting paid is a hugh box to get checked. It also shows the dangers of being matched up or taking a chance in order to feel wanted. There has been plenty of rom coms or dramas that have attempted to tackle this and failed. This movie makes fun of matchmaking system and the people involved, but also shows how difficult it is to find the one, and empathy for that.
Shoutout to an amazing 3 headed cast, with Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal. I mostly want to say how exceptional Dakota is in this movie and continues to be. She has missteps with some of those bigger movies, but movies like Am I ok?, Cha Cha Real Smooth and this she gives amazing performances.
One nitpick I came across is some of the dialogue felt wooden at times. Nothing too distracting but its there. How it was filmed also made it feel like a play in certain scenes.
In the end, better then expected and I feel is an important movie to see.
