Memento
This movie definitely got better the second viewing; I just didn't appreciate it enough when I was younger. The non linear storytelling that Nolan does here is perfected. As this movie consistently keeps you guessing what really is going on and what will happen next. Some directors would not be able to make this work, but this is what separates good from great.
Great performance from Guy Pearce, who does such an amazing job with depicting this awful disability that is anterograde amnesia. This was a star making performance even if Guy Pearce never really reached that level. Also shoutout to Joe Pantoliano who is always a fun on screen presence.
