Superman

I had fun with this movie but it definitely has its issues. The good starts with the cast! Awesome performance from Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Fillion, Skylar Gisondo, Rachel Brosnahan, and most importantly Edi Gathegi. I left Gathegi last because he was awesome in this movie. Mister Terrific is the best parts of this movie, with the cool action scenes and awesome one liners. Speaking of one liners, Nathan Fillion was hilarious as Green Latern. Not what I expected but I loved it. Now I didnt mention David Corenswet, so why is that. Don't get me wrong he plays a really good superman, and fits Gunns vision. But and I hate to say it Henry Cavill is the superman I prefer. No hate, but Cavill is my guy when it comes to superman. This movie has plenty of good humor throughout, I mean of course it does its James Gunn. But of course at times it does get jarring. But I think there was enough funny that it wasn't an issue. One other issue I had was the political stuff could have brought down just a little. I dont need to be hit over the head with it consistently. The whole scene with the public figuring out about his parents ideas for him was a bit overkill. Also the movie is a bit too cheesy and goofy for me personally. I prefer the darkness of something like Man of Steel more. But its a not a big deal. I have seen that this movie was really moving and emontional for some and I appreciate that others were able get something like that out of a movie. This movie didnt necessarily get that for me but I did like the battle Superman had within himself and still remained a good person in the end, who wanted to save everyone. In the end this movie has terrific performances and is a fun superhero movie. Even if there are some issues I had along the way.
