Zach Cregger does it again! While I prefer Barabarian, this movie still delivers the chills and atmosphere. Shot and crafted very well, keeping eyes glued to the screen. Keeps you guessing, and figuring out whats next. Really solid performances from Julia Garner and Josh Brolin! Mostly want to shoutout Amy Madigan who played Gladys. She was very eerie throughout, very good performance. I would vote Zach Cregger to either helm A Nightmare on Elm Street movie or Hellraiser. He could totally match the vibe and dredd of those movies, but also the atmosphere. I do think his comedic background could help in a Freddy movie. My negatives are more so some of the humor or dialogue. It felt unnecessary at times or didnt fit. The same could be said for the gore and violence. It just didnt seem like it fit, ruined the tone at times. In the end, go have a chilling good time!
