harsh, essentially winter movie about the passing down of abuse and trauma from fathers to children and so on and so forth. it’s difficult to watch nick nolte deteriorate over the course of the movie and almost as harrowing to watch every flashback to james coburn being the most casually evil man. the path of this story is lonely and desolate
