there are traces of beauty in their lives in this which is both what is so heartbreaking and what is so funny about how it ends. i see that not unfounded impulse to look at your dire situation (as controlled by people who insist you’re making up how dire it is or people who don’t want the word dire even invoked) throw your hands up and say fuck it I’m gonna let the truck go in circles and I’m gonna ride the chair lift in circles and just blow up on so many people including myself! have been there! first time I watched i laughed so hard at that ending and this time it was more of a pitiful silence which isn’t to say there’s an evolution but more that that’s where I’m at on that cyclical path lol anyway shoutout to this movie sorry if you don’t get it
