Sinners

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of god” Romans 3:23  This movie was a masterpiece, from the perfect acting of Michael B Jordan to the masterfully executed singing scene. I believe this movie is a vampiric versions of There will be blood and Psycho mixed together with the subversion of the todorov narrative and the masterful storytelling and western feel, another thing of note is that both of the narratives were interesting as fuck, if this was 2 movies i would have both watched the crime thriller and the vampire horror as 2 separate movies. The makeup was Oscar worthy as well with the look of the vampires. The costume design steals the show, it’s a well known fact that the costume always tells a story and it is nothing but true in this story as we see in the dancing sequence with the future and past spirts which blended to show the power of art as a whole and then we see costume being used to show Smokes character development as he started out as a cold business man who relied on stack to the hero that he always was when his suit gets destroyed. I’m yapping a bit but this film is a masterpiece
