Good Time
What a beautiful and thrilling movie I’ve had to watch in some time. I really did enjoy the fast paced and intense moments where we are strapped into this incredibly frustrating journey and have no sort of choice but to watch how this awful situation turns out.
The Safdie Brothers have a very personal approach to city nightlife. They use lots of close-up shots and long takes, giving it a documentary feel. This grungy and filthier style enhances the film, but most of the impact comes from Robert Pattinson’s unhinged performance, which truly showcases his best acting work.
I really fucked with Pattinson’s work on this, he plays such a maniacal manipulative scumbag with such expertise something that truly stems from the writing and also his ability as an actor to understand and convey what the script is about.
