Ms. Marvel
Honestly pretty good and I enjoyed it a lot. It has a hot streak between episodes 1-3 that I really enjoyed... and then they go to Karachi. At this point the show loses a lot of steam that doesn't come back for me until episode 6, and even then, still falters a bit. The Djinn are terrible villains (if you can even call them villains) imo. They come in and vanish quickly, and don't do a whole lot beyond it. I don't mind the explanation between Kamala's heritage and the expanding relationship with her mom-in fact, I enjoyed those aspects-but it feels so tonally off from the rest of the show. Literally once episode 6 kicks back off they have a whole Home Alone-like sequence. It just really took me out of it.
Characters are fun (for the most part, Bruno's simping really got old for me in episode 6), I really like how Kamala has her powers and is using them in different situation throughout the entire show (weird thing I'm praising) and Iman Vellani kills it. I really like her character.
I know it's a bit of a hot take, but I think this show is pretty good and I'm excited to rewatch The Marvels. I also like that they are setting up mutants here, I can't wait for that to be expanded upon in future MCU projects (probably after Doomsday).
