The Batman

What can I say. This movie is absolutely amazing. At this point I haven’t watched much with Robert Pattinson in it, so I approached his take on Bruce and Batman with the lowest expectations, just for him to blow them out of the water. He is great. Blows Christian Bale out of the water for me. As well, Jim Gordon and Selena Kyle are incredible, and while I’m still torn on Alfred in this movie, he is done well too. This movie looks gorgeous. Is it dark? Absolutely. But how those shots are composed and how they look makes it worthwhile. And the shots where it’s not dark look incredible. The fight scenes are amazing as well, so much better than the Christopher Nolan trilogy. It was a little slow, but never dragged if that makes sense. It’s a long movie but I wasn’t bored, and it pays off the attention to detail. For my final rating, I am giving The Batman a 10/10, the 9th film on my Letterboxd to receive a perfect score.
