Frankenstein

This is a good movie, objectively it is probably a 4/5-4.5/5 however I am not objective. This movie makes many of the most interesting parts of the source material moot. It is not disliked by me because it is different but instead because it is the most common and basic interpretation of Frankenstein possible. It removes any nuance to make Victor Frankenstein seem more evil while also sanitizing his motivations. The monster in inverse has his actions completely removed. When you are adapting what is in my opinion a top 5 novel of all time and a top 2 sci-fi novel I hold it to a higher standard than most things. I can not give it lower than 3/5 because it is still an incredibly well put together film, if you have not read the novel this movie will most definitely be a fantastic movie that I would recommend.
