Daisies

I took the pledge #52FilmsbyWomen about a week ago and I'm kind of behind. That's okay, I will catch the fuck up. I normally try and go out to the theater or buy/rent a movie made by a female filmmaker because I fully support every female filmmaker/screenwriter. There isn't a lot of them (compared to male ones) so I try my best to support each and everyone that I can. Support women filmmakers! I decided to start this challenge with Daisies, a Czech movie directed by Věra Chytilová. I went into this film with no expectation. To be honest, I only watched it because the poster for it on here was super lovely and colorful. I was not expecting to love this as much as I did. I'm just conjuring up some words to express my emotions for this film but I just fucking can't. Daisies was such a surreal and experimental movie that it hit every right note for me. I'm going to make sure I can fit a rewatch in the near future for this. Fuck yeah!
