Laurence Anyways

i would just like to point out that xavier dolan has probably became one of my favorite directors. laurence anyways. oh my god. i don't know where to begin. even though this movie's run time is almost three hours long, it never got boring for me. i found myself completely invested and interested in this visually-striking movie. and can we talk about suzanne clément? i was seriously paralyzed by scene with her and laurence in the restaurant where she is screaming at a waitress for asking inappropriate questions to laurence. to me, she was the shining star in this movie, and i absolutely love that dolan uses her (and also anne dorval) for most of his movies. this movie honestly left me breathless and without words, just like mommy did. from the acting, to the visuals, and to the writing, and to the fucking music. i mean, if i had pearls to clutch, i would be clutching the fuck out of them.
