Pitch Black

i don't think i could ever not enjoy this movie, it's everything i love in a good 90s-00s sci fi, a good plot, fleshed out characters, and NO ROMANCE!!! i get that vin diesel is rly funny now but these movies really remind me how stacked his career really is, its such amazing world building for just a trilogy, just a trilogy!! truly there are not many films that i enjoy more than this— ken and jim wheat were amazing on this i love that theres kinda sorta a little trans rep in this with jack/jackie, im kinda bummed that they turned her into a girl in the later movies but like i guess it was coming regardless bc yk it was the 2000s, and for what its worth the cgi isnt necessarily that bad in conclusion, an incredible movie and Bong Joon-ho (*director of Mickey 17) *has SUCH good taste
