Nope

My immediate thoughts after watching Nope are so few, because this movie was the dictionary definition of a masterpiece, and everything I wanted to come of this came. The film was carried by the performances by it’s 3 lead actors, Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun, but while they carried, the cinematography by Hoyte van Hoytema and the score by Michael Abels is what launches this movie into the stratosphere. But none of this would be without perfect direction, thank god it was Jordan Peele. Peele set out on the difficult task of making a UFO invasion seem somewhat realistic and carry real stakes, and he smashed it out of the park in Peele’s signature style. I beg everyone to see this in a cinema, and I further beg you to see it in IMAX. The IMAX experience is simply unmatched by any other format as it is truly the film-maker’s intention for their film to be seen in it, especially when they film it in IMAX. This is not a movie, it’s a spectacle.
