The Moment
when i go to the club i want to hate on johannes
johannes
jo-jo-hannes
a second viewing has given me so much more food for thought about it and many interpretations i can possibly fathom.
for me, as a long time charli fan (not to flex but i’ve been there since true romance), this isn’t rather a criticism of the mainstream market but rather a plea to allow the alternative styles exist in the mainstream alongside the stereotypes.
it makes it known immediately in the movie that charli’s mainstream sensation was far from an overnight success. and her music and style hasn’t been a taste for everyone. i’m so happy her music IS in that spot now, but i LOVE the fearful take this movie gave of the possibility of studios and companies trying to make it fit an oversaturated market/target audience, and how the assumed immortality of brat summer could actually be killed.
“you can’t dread the end when it’s over” will stick with me for any and all circumstances in my life
i’m probably just rambling, but that’s what i think The Moment is about.
again, i love you charli can we please go for martinis an aperol spritz’s together?
