“I want you to eat me” I saw this movie for the first time in the cinema when it was released and I liked it a lot; this second time I liked it even more. Cannibalism, in the film, works as a metaphor for love: it represents that need that embarrasses us, but that at the same time defines us. To love someone "bones and all", you must be willing to let them in completely, to consume you; you could say that love is a form of emotional cannibalism. Guadagnino is a genius for creating unique atmospheres. The places that Lee and Maren travel become one more character within the story. This movie, along with Queer, should have a lot more recognition.
