This is such an amazing low-budget experimental short and a playful ode to silent cinema. Zina Saro-Wiwa manages to express both her love and hate for Nollywood through something as simple as wigs. By stripping away dialogue, she turns these wigs into living symbols of identity that criticises the performative nature of the industry itself. It’s fun, it’s strange, and it honestly is such a fresh take on vampires. It goes without saying that you don’t need a huge budget to make something great and interesting!
