La La Land

a beautiful tale about the naturally unfolding chemistry and care between an actress and jazz musician who find purpose in their dreams before finding each other the final ending scene of their mutual yet unspoken knowingness that is made apparent through their shared, lasting glance struck my heart i would not have appreciated this film in the way that i do now if i had watched it in my years prior. as an early 20s adult, i might have told you that love conquers all. as a mid-20s adult, i can now more deeply understand the act of choosing yourself (for so many reasons). although sometimes, our connections and experiences are so tender that they stick with us all the while anyways, like 5 years later at an unexpected jazz club… 5/5 for making me shed tears several times, when i swore i would absolutely not be moved in all the years prior (hence my very late watch)
