BLUE EYE SAMURAI
Just sitting there in Netflix, huh? This seems more deserving of not being on a streaming service as it just feels like more than accessible content to consume. Fantastic animation and a large world to get lost in. Dialogue is extremely poetic and there is this fantastic environment of crime and corruption that’s everything I wanted. The main lead is the strong/silent type that fills the requirements for being a complete badass. Historical elements are done eloquently. I can tell a good amount of research was put into this. The violence in this, especially the first episode, has brilliant choreography. I think the story does take a little bit of a slow lull in the third act, where the pacing just isn’t hitting as much, but there is still brilliant character dynamics within it that it doesn’t stop the plot from serving its purpose. Brilliant series and am thinking the second season will add even more.
