The Penguin
Loved it. When it comes to a comic book villain story, it’s miles darker than what would be expected. Really takes you down the vein of an absolutely evil and twisted man and, well, Collin Farrell gives a performance of a lifetime to boot. Its narrative isn’t anything crazy when it comes to its crime shenanigans, but there is some fun double-crossing, solid action pieces, and a whole set of character that it plays around with. I do understand the series ends on such a tight position that could lead to the second film, but it does also suggest they have a lot of stuff they could squeeze out of the Penguin show, from a psychological point of view.
