Watchmen
I really admire how this show is capable of making its first and second half wildly different, but being able to tie itself together so masterfully. As well, I think it makes it comparisons to the original Watchmen apparent whilst still making this its own artistic statement. This show has a lot going on, especially considering it’s initial focus being on racial politics in the beginning and even though these are central topics by the end, there is a lot of exposition that opens it up to other engaging themes. Hell, this is just immensely well-written and I love it’s Inception ending. It’s nearly perfect in my opinion, but I do think it slightly misses the mark with its early pacing issues, but sadly that’s due to it being a limited series and not a film.
