Harakiri
Harakiri is with no doubt one of the best films I’ve ever seen. It’s been on my watchlist for quite some time amd I finally got around to watching it and I am amazed by what I just saw.
Harakiri has some of the best storytelling I’ve ever seen in film and that just amazes me because it was made in 1960s. The story unravels itself and shows you what happened and executes it perfectly. Genuinely some of the best plot I’ve seen in film.
The dialogue is another great aspect of the film. The dialogue is for sure one of the best parts. It’s so poetic in a way with words and everything just works so perfect. The main characters monologues and storytelling is so good.
The main character in this story is such an amazing character. The actor (not sure of his name) delivers his lines so good and beautifully that you are captivated in the moment.
Something I did not expect from this film was the amazing cinematography. It’s such an old film that k just did not expect it. Everything was framed so well and the cinematography was beautiful and the scenery was great.
The camera work was also amazing. Some of the best I’ve seen outside of the 2000s and I mean that. The work is amazing and the zooms work so well. When they camera would pan and then zoom, wow.
This is one of those films that I can say without a doubt has no flaws. Straight 10/10 without a doubt in my mind and I will be rewatching it 100%. Absolutely perfect film.
