Three Colors: Red
This might be the most beautiful film I have ever seen. The cinematography and the color pallet is just so amazing. This story is so impactful and I love the theme of relationships.
The way this story unfolds is done so well. Woman meets man and they become close. Is this relationship just a bond or romantic? It really could go both ways but that’s what the film leaves you thinking. We see how bonds form in this film and it’s beautiful.
Now let’s talk about the color pallet… Wow! The use of red in this film is probably the best use of color used in any film I have seen. The meaning of red used in this film can be interpreted any way you like. Passion, romance, angry… many meanings can be put behind the color used in this film and that is one of the main reasons this film is great.
The camera movement used in this film is just great. I’m not too sure what it is about it but it just looks amazing. There is a balance of wide shots and amazingly executed camera movement. It feels as if every movement was planned out.
I believe this film is one of the best constructed films I have ever seen and the themes of relationships, bonds, passion etc. is a giant part of that statement. Beautiful shots and beautiful acting. This film really is perfect.
