Bicycle Thieves

I wish we could return to a time when bikes were the primary mode of mid-distance transportation before trams, trains, boats, and planes become necessary for large distances, and when cars were seen as a hobby or a topic for people who are “into” cars rather than an absolute necessity to be able to live a functional life like it’s seen in the 21st century. Regardless, whenever I ponder issues I’m passionate about I always think about a world in which, sure the issue does not exist, but I simply concentrate on the other issues, never even beginning to consider there was this issue in the first place - “the grass is aways greener over there”. So when I was pleasantly surprised by a world this occupied by efficient non-petrol-based transport, I was even more moved by the story of a man just being beaten by the world.
