Fuck YES man! Such a gnarly, gory, gruesome, thrilling and stylistic horror-comedy film from Sam Raimi. So obviously a tribute to campy 80s horror and it hits that nail on the head so perfectly, it’s incredible how Raimi manages to juggle campy and scary and never compromise on one or the other. Whilst admittedly a good chunk of the film lets the horror take a step back, the comedy is solid and there is a unsettling feeling consistently hanging in the air and it keeps you on your toes nearly the entire way through. It’s a rare case of a modern movie with an almost entirely unpredictable storyline. Rachel McAdams is absolutely killing it the whole way through, Dylan O’Brien is such a charming little asshole. GO SEE THIS IN THEATERS ASAP!!
