i hate that he gets a last minute character arc, and i hate even more that he gets the girl he absolutely doesn’t deserve. and yet… this works. Christina Ricci’s character is magnetic and kind in a way the film doesn’t fully earn. i found myself feeling bad for Billy, a character i didn’t want to feel anything for.
