Monster
First time revisiting this film this year and it left me with a heavy sense of reflection. I think that from the very moment we place bias, judgment or suspicion on someone before knowing the whole story we have already become "monsters" ourselves. The act of deciding who is right and who is wrong too early reveals something unsettling about us. And perhaps my own arrogance in believing that I see things clearly and labeling others as "monsters" in this way also turns me into one. By pointing at others I may only be exposing the same flaw within myself. I dont really know whether we can ever escape this title because the truth is that very few people truly look at others with complete equality or patience. We all carry assumptions shaped by fear, habit or pride. But maybe the first step is not trying to deny it. Maybe recognizing that we are also part of the problem and that we are capable of becoming "monsters" ourselves might help us be a little less monstrous after all? I dont really know, maybe i was just rambling again.
