Insidious

I think more than anything else, this movie should be praised for the way it flawlessly balances a lighter tone with some pretty good scares. It creates this really confusing reaction when you see this demon with frankly ridiculous makeup (shoutout to the TEN makeup brands credited in the special thanks, lmao) but you’re so on edge that it doesn’t matter. Really great.
