Babylon
Wow, for a film this chaotic I am glad I chose it to close out 2022.
Babylon is a sight to behold. It's like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on crack. Damien Chazelle perfectly pieces together this whirlwind of a story, however all-over-the-place it is, to create a collage of debauchery, humanity and urban legend.
It is unapologetic, art deco, loving of silent-era cinema, and features enough bodily fluid to fill an Olympic swimming pool.
I'm so glad I got to witness this in theaters. It might've be my favorite film of the year had EEAAO not existed.
