Wolf Children
Hana initially refusing to let Ame go because he’s still so young to her but realizing he’s already chosen his path and in the wolf world is ready and more than capable of taking care of himself and him letting her know she’s gonna be okay is just so bittersweet.
She loves both Ame and Yuki so much and it’s even said in the first act that she’ll let them choose their own path and how to live life.
She was a fantastic mother who taught her children to live and think for themselves just as any mother in real life could wish for. She about did the best she could suddenly having to navigate being a parent on her own and she deserves her flowers (pun intended).
Such a great movie that’s main message I feel is no matter how ready or not you may be your kids will be grown up in no time and It will never be easy to not take care of them and instead let them experience the world for themselves.
