Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol

STRONG 8. i have to apologize for an extreme lapse in judgment. for the longest time, i couldn’t really understand the hype behind ghost protocol. the lack of gunfights, the silly stakes, and the lack of compelling villains (especially after mi2’s extreme focus on ambrose and mi3’s well-crafted davian). there’s some elements of spy tech that i didn’t enjoy in the first viewing, but i definitely appreciate much more on a rewatch. there’s a level of brevity that permeates this movie that makes it super fun. it’s less about violence, and more about adrenaline. the stunts of this movie are definitely the most memorable and visually impressive. this might be my favorite crew out of these movies as well. i’m glad to say, after rewatching mi4 with my family, this might be my favorite mission impossible movie.
