so. i’m watching dunkirk (i know groundbreaking) but i haven’t watched it in a hot minute to be fair and i just got reminded how good it is for my brain chemistry. the pilots technical talk, the french man disguised as an english soldier hiding below the mole with his english pal listening to the officials talking and him not understanding shit but the english getting more and more aware that he’s probably going to die there because they’re 400.000 on that beach but the plan is to retrieve only 45.000 tops, farrier deciding it’s not right to go back home and staying until his fuel runs out, gibson saving so many more lives but his own, mr dawson saving an raf pilot who may look like his dead son, the wwi veteran giving out blankets probably blinded by the gasses, tommy in the train going straight to sleep tired of h* s** constant moanings, the private who slept through it all getting a fancy ride with the officers, commander bolton staying behind just like his real life counterpart. oh and benedict bridgerton at the beginning dealing with the french.
