Hereditary
I don’t think I’ve ever been so disturbed.
Obviously, Toni Collette’s performance is a common talking point. I clearly see why. Outstanding.
One thing I really loved about it is how deep the development of not only the characters but the whole story in general was. Often in this genre we’re dissatisfied with the effort that went into the actual story, and we’re given either an unjustified slasher or paranormal garbage with nonsensical reasoning.
I was super uncomfortable throughout, astonished in several scenes. Super satisfied, glad I watched without research. 5/5 stars & up there with my favourite horror flicks of all time.
