This was pretty good though compared to the anime it did lack depth. The live action did pretty good at translating the original work but it’s so much better when u get a closer look at everything!

The scene of their faces meshing together was perfection. It was like yes they’re each individuals but they are the same. The father and the daughters mirroring each other Nora was so much like her father and that made it difficult for her to be around him. And that house! I kind of felt like the house was a place Nora didn’t like to be in it made her uncomfortable maybe where as her sister had a fondness for it and wanted to even live in it. The line about their childhoods being the same and them turning out different is so good too. Nora serving as this lifeline for her sister that made her feel safe and complete is probably why she has a positive outlook on the house. Nora having to step into such a large role of an absent father and a semi absent mother perhaps shaped her life to struggle with intimacy and relationships. Ugly crying it was so good.

Amazing. Went into it thinking it was gonna be boring and was instantly surprised.

Wonderful film about the struggling relationship between a mother and daughter. Eva seemed to be stuck as a little girl struggling to please her mother and craving affection and stability. The mother seemed to be uncomfortable staying in that place perhaps the role of a mother was one she could not understand due to her mother. I think she tried a lot to avoid any fault always having an excuse for her actions always putting herself in the role of a victim. Great film really recommend!
