Fallen Angels
Normally I’d hate this kinda movie. The plot is all over the place, there isn’t a clear objective or goal, some scenes even feel sloppy, and a couple of extras and side characters give performances straight out of a low-budget porn movie. Yet somehow this movie managed to make me love it.
There’s just something abt it man. The way it introduces its characters, the monologues, the way it story tells, the atmosphere—it all feels so unique and beautiful. The cinematography is so fucking alluring, and a lot of scenes just stick with you, even when they don’t fully make sense.
And the mute guy bro, that guy was the fucking goat. His whole mindset, the things this dude does for a living. The fact that he got stood up, is always alone and loses his only loved one (that’s twin right there) yet despite all that, he still remained positive. That ain’t twin right there, but I wish it was.
Also, i won’t sit here and pretend that I understood everything—I didn’t, this film is pretty confusing ngl. But the strange thing is, that unlike other movies with fragmented or loose storytelling, this one never lost me. I was mesmerized the whole time.
It’s messy, inconsistent at times, and most probably not for everyone, but idk bro. This one just hits.
