Fallen Angels
This Is definitely the most visually stunning film I’ve seen this year. From the camera work to the lighting and the wide shots on the motorcycle it was all just so good. It even made McDonald’s look like even more beautiful with all the green lighting. It creates an atmosphere and just sucks you in. This movie made me realize that I love aesthetics like this but I do appreciate a more structured storyline. I enjoyed the mute character the most and that’s kinda saying something. There wasn’t much dialogue but the whole atmosphere carries out what needs to be conveyed. It captures the loneliness of each individual character, building up the vision that Wong Kar-Wai had for them. Overall I think if this movie had a better plot and story development it would have read more clearly to me.
