Rear Window
“Sometimes, you just can’t help but look”An absolute masterpiece and personally, a great introduction to the world of Alfred Hitchcock as this was my first.
Absolutely fascinating how the director can employ one place as the entire set of a film and still serve perfection. Stewart’s curiosity was very engaging and relatable, I was completely absorbed into the character. Very impressive how an actor can leave such an impression without even moving the entire time ! Grace Kelly’s striking beauty was the most alarming of all, lovely performance from her as well.
The different shots showing different windows in search for more or perhaps anything felt revolutionary. The dialogue went perfectly with it in the most genius way possible. All in all, absolutely great film with so many details to look after. I could definitely see myself revisiting this more than once very soon.
