The Florida Project
holyyy fuck I did not expect this movie to make me tear up like it did. The performance from Moonee's actor was so convincing, what a talented child actor it's a shame she didn't seem to do much after this.
I cannot express how hard and personally this movie hits me, as someone who's childhood consisted of a great deal of suffering, not with household or parents thankfully but with other aspects of being a child, and this film made me so emotional regarding that aspect of my past.
The cinematography and colour grading of this film is exceptional, Sean Baker is a genius with his ability to combine raw powerful moments with colourful aesthetically pleasing shots.
and why was Willem Dafoe suddenly hot?
