Primitive War

This is the best dinosaur movie since Jurassic World, no question. The dark, gritty, and gory depiction of the Vietnam War coupled with the potential for death by prehistoric reptile created the atmosphere I’ve been yearning to see for years. Probably the bloodiest mainstream dinosaur film to date, there was a scene that genuinely made me sick to my stomach due to its disturbing realism. The depiction of realistic dinosaurs filled my heart with joy; an aspect that really all dinosaur blockbusters have missed up to this point. While the plot and some scenes are a bit ridiculous at times, the meat of this movie is incredibly exciting and enjoyable, especially to the armchair paleontologist.
