Shin Godzilla

A magnificent film every time I return to it. The scenes of destruction are some of the best in the series, nodding to old entries via the use of old sound effects. A depiction of Godzilla that demonstrates his omnipotence and metaphor for nuclear power, the script allows for extensive focus on human characters and their development throughout the plot. One of my fav Godzilla films for a reason.
