Dune: Part Two

I couldn’t really form my full opinion on Part Two until after a second viewing, but without reciting the same praises as everyone else, I basically just have one thought remaining. ‼️ If we leave out this much of the groundwork of the sci fi lore, audiences will not be ready for Dune: Messiah ‼️ How can we just toss EDRIC THE GUILD NAVIGATOR on screen in the opening scene of the next film without losing the interest of all the newfound Duneheads expecting to just watch a 3-hour holy war epic? It will either be bogged down with exposition, or it’s an entirely different movie. We still have to teach audiences what prescience is, and then immediately teach them Dune: Messiah’s expanded take on prescience. I seriously don’t know how we’re going to land the “greatest trilogy of all time” calls when each movie is and will be 100% tonally different.
