A Hidden Life

"there's a difference between the kind of suffering we can't avoid and a suffering we choose". terrence malick is such a revolutionist when it comes to how he wants his films to feel to his audience. often times i forget im watching a film and not just a documentation of someone's real life experience through a lens. there is a great story told here about conviction in your beliefs and how far some are willing to go for what they believe is right. truly a soul touching film that tugs on the heart strings.
