Blade Runner 2049
Every camera shot in this movie is a cinematic masterpiece. So many iconic scenes I couldn't believe the budget was only $160–185 million because the visuals look way too good.
Storytelling is convincing and believable. You really empathize with the characters. The relationship between Joe and Joi was especially impressive incredibly effective even without many scenes together. And the ending actually feels earned.
But the plot really tries to avoid Joe's death. I know he's an officer with enhanced durability, but he gets beaten so hard that it should affect his combat performance more than it does. Still, an incredible film.
