Mason this review is for you if you see this bc you asked for an elaboration on my rating of hook:
i love this movie so goddamn much and yes a large part of that is because i probably have seen this movie 300 times and love robin williams a lot. julia roberts as tinkerbell is so perfect even though she was kinda mean on set but i like to think she was just in character. the color grading adds to the nostalgia in a way, being vibrant and warm god i just love it. i think its cute that many members of the hoffman family were included in the making of a retelling of a beloved childhood story. the plot is silly but whimsical and the part where thud gets pans sword omfggg it makes me sob. it’s a touching story about never losing your childlike wonder and to not be an absent father and i think that’s beautiful
