Wicked
They took advantage of the medium of film so much, i love how much the actors get to emote, i love how everyone is performing their butts off and i am going to have the soundtrack on loop for the foreseeable future
first of all the cast. michelle yeoh and jeff goldblum were absolutely fantastic as morrible and the wizard and i almost screamed MOTHER when michelle came on screen.
ariana grande is so far from her popstar persona she carried the humorous parts of glinda so well but also had so much vulnerability that i cried during no one mourns the wicked
cynthia erivo is INSANE IN THIS ROLE i already knew her from the Color Purple and her the Greatest Showman demos but my god i love how she sang every song she had the softness for not that girl but had the grit and strength in defying gravity I AM IN LOVE WITH HER RENDITION OF WIZARD AND I
the costumes, sets, and surprisingly the sound mixing makes the world of oz so vibrant the ads and trailers do not do the colors justice!
