Chainsaw Man

so many thoughts and feelings following this!! never had much interest in chainsaw man prior to viewing this adaptation of Part 1, but it has absolutely made me into a fan. despite all the gore and violence and sleaze, chainsaw man is a fairly intimate story of a boy who doesn’t understand the world around him or the people around him, shocked at the possibility that people enjoy his company. it’s also not just about this, obviously, there’s also the thin veils between good and evil, moral bankruptcy, culture as a whole…. It’s surprisingly loaded for a series about a guy who can turn himself into a human chainsaw, but fuck me, it’s incredible. loved it, excited to read it and to watch the upcoming film!
